AGEs predict the future
もともとAGEがメジャーになったのは、糖尿病の合併症を予測するからです。AGEリーダーの数値が高いと糖尿病性の網膜症、神経障害、腎症リスクが高くなります。こちらの研究は「日本人を対象にしてもそうだった」という大阪大学の研究です。
AGE is one of the hot topics in science because it predicts the complications of diabetes. The higher skin AGEs are, the higher risk of etinopathy, neuropathy, and nephropathy the patients have. Osaka University group confirmed the results by investigating Asian (Japanese) population.
